At a well-attended meeting today at Tweed Elementary School, Conservative Party of Canada members chose a candidate to represent them in the 2019 federal election.
Congratulations to Derek Sloan of Stirling, the new Conservative candidate in H-L&A.
Thank you to fellow candidates Michael Collins of Tweed, Jackie Denyes of Roslin, and Mark Hanley of Napanee, for your hard work and principled campaigns in this nomination race. Thanks also to the H-L&A Candidate Nomination Committee for all their efforts over the past few months, and to the many volunteers who helped make the meeting run smoothly. Special thanks to Returning Officer Sean Morrison and Eastern Ontario Regional Organizer Bill Greenberg for helping us through this process.
Now the hard work begins - let's make sure Derek Sloan is the next MP for Hastings-Lennox & Addington!
